See serial number stock

What this is for

See every unused serial still in stock (and which warehouse), including loose units that are not on a warehouse yet.

Concepts

Needs Inventory. Reports → Inventory → Serial Number Stock.

The page note: Lists every unused serial number currently in stock. Loose units exist in the system but are not attached to a warehouse on the serial record (not usable for shipping until fixed). Use the magnifying glass to open Search Serial Number.

Filter by Warehouse and Product. Print to CSV exports the table. Columns: Serial Number, Status, Product, Category, SKU, Warehouse.

Find a serial number is lookup of one number. This report is the full on-hand list.

Before you start

• Inventory on. Serialized items have numbers in stock.

Steps

1. Open Reports.
2. Under Inventory, click Serial Number Stock.
3. Optional: Filter by warehouse or product.
4. Click the magnifying glass on a row to search that serial.

What happens next

Ship with serials on a delivery, or fix loose units on receive / count / the item.

If something looks wrong

• No Inventory column on Reports. Turn Inventory on.
• Loose row cannot ship. Attach it to a warehouse (receive, count, or item serial list) first.
• A shipped serial still appears. It is not unused; refresh or check the serial history.
