See service work¶
What this is for¶
See open tickets, due tasks, and time by person — without opening every case.
Concepts¶
Service Dashboard is the service home (charts and counts). The life-ring badge in the header opens it when the service menu is on.
Reports → Service has the printable lists:
| Report | What it answers |
|---|---|
| Open cases | Which cases are still open (by status / priority on that page). |
| Service tasks due | Tasks whose due date is in range. |
| Time by technician | Hours logged, by person. |
| Cases by category | Volume by case category. |
Company lists Cases, Work Orders, Tasks, and Timers are the operational queues (same work, one record per row).
This is not See who owes you money. Billing reports stay under Clients / Financial.
Before you start¶
- Cases or timers exist, or you expect empty charts.
Steps¶
- Open Service Dashboard (service menu, or the life-ring count in the header).
- Read the period and charts. Use the dashboard filter if you need another range.
- For a list you can print: Reports → under Service, open Open cases, Service tasks due, Time by technician, or Cases by category.
To work a row: open Cases / Tasks / Timers and drill in.
What happens next¶
Update a case, Add a task, or Log time on a task.
If something looks wrong¶
- Charts are empty. No cases in that period, or the filter is too tight.
- Service tasks due is empty. Tasks have no Due Date, or none fall in range.
- No service menu. Your role does not include those items.
